Dr. Mike Cobb
 


For over twenty years, Dr. Cobb has been actively involved, both as an entrepreneur and as a consultant, in the areas of executive leadership, strategic growth management, financial engineering and management, financial due diligence, economic analysis, capital structure development and implementation, M&A/strategic alliance planning and implementation, and operations design and management. He has also worked closely with clients in the securing of growth and acquisition financing through financial institutions, venture capitalists, investment bankers, foundations and private investors.

Dr. Cobb has provided strategic, financial and operational leadership to small and medium-sized firms as well as Fortune 500 companies. His current and former clients span a broad range of industries and markets. He has also held executive and management positions with APCO International, Union Carbide Corporation, Ashland Chemical Company, Lockwood Greene Consulting and Carnegie Mellon University.

He is the managing principal of Criterion Consulting Group LLC, a consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA and managing director of Criterion Capital LLC, a mid-cap investment banking firm. In addition, he is a founding member of Innovative Business Strategies LLC, the Trans Atlantic Group (a network of US and European affiliates committed to the development of transatlantic business), and The M&A Advisory Group LLC (an association of independent M&A consulting firms).

Dr. Cobb holds BS and PhD degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology, in addition to financial & accounting education through The Wharton School and Carnegie Mellon University, and strategic planning & management training from Clemson University.
 
 
 

Dr. Dennis Mathaisel

Dennis Mathaisel is Professor of Management Science at Babson College.  He was a Research Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, founder and President of a computer software firm that developed systems for airline scheduling and resource allocation, and he was a Branch Manager for Operations Research at the McDonnell Douglas Corporation.

Dr. Mathaisel's teaching interests are in the fields of operations research, quantitative methods, computer science, physics, and air transport operations.  His current research interests focus on the sustainability of complex and aging systems and lean manufacturing.  Dr. Mathaisel was the MIT co-lead of the Sustainment Operations Team for the Lean Sustainment Initiative for the U.S. Air Force.  He has had research assignments with NASA, the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Department of Transportation (Office of the Secretary), Federal Aviation Administration, Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Flying Tiger Line, Pan American World Airways, Hughes Air West, Olympic Airways, Federal Express, Iberia Airlines, Northwest Airlines, USAir, Continental, Garuda Indonesia, Trans World Airlines, and others.  This experience has covered a range of topics including military logistics sustainability, lean enterprise sustainability, decision support systems, vehicle maintenance and routing, equipment acquisition, logistics, scheduling, fleet and route planning, and transport systems analysis and engineering.

Dennis Mathaisel was elected as a Full Member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences (INFORMS).  He is also a member of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), The Airline Group of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (AGIFORS), the Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).  He is a private pilot and an owner of a Cessna 182 aircraft based at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts.

 
Mr. R. Al McKinney


Mr. McKinney¨s specialty is Healthcare Systems Planning and Operations.   He has been active in the Healthcare Industry for 13 years and is a Board Certified Healthcare Executive.  Mr. McKinney is currently the COO of Surgical Operations at a 500 bed Medical Center. 

Mr. McKinney received his Masters of Health Administration from Baylor University and his Bachelor¨s degree in Health and Social Services Administration from Roger Williams University. He is a Diplomate in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. 
 

 
 

Mr. Dennis Stamm

 


For 15 years, Mr. Stamm held manufacturing management positions including Industrial Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and Production Manager.  His manufacturing career includes positions with the General Electric Company, Bucyrus-Erie, Continental Emsco, and M.A.N. Truck & Bus.

Mr. Stamm has provided manufacturing improvement consulting for the past 19 years as the Director of Consulting at Lockwood Greene Engineers, Inc., a major E&C company serving the manufacturing sector.  He as led consulting efforts for companies on several continents.  His client list includes BMW, Volvo Heavy Truck, Caterpillar, Alcoa, Intel, Boeing, Lucky Goldstar Group, YPF Petroleum, the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. Department of Defense, and the U.S. Treasury. Additionally, he is a principal and founding member of Innovative Business Strategies LLC.

He is frequently featured as a guest speaker at APICS and SAE conferences and has conducted lean manufacturing training sessions for clients in Asia, South America, and Europe (including the former Eastern Block).  He is also a columnist for IIE Solutions, the monthly publication of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.
 

 

Dr. Tianming Zhang


Dr. Zhang has worked in the fields of embedded systems and software engineering in hi-tech industries for the past 8 years. He has worked at companies that develop innovative consumer and business appliances. His most recent appointments are with VC backed private companies. His expertise includes networking, storage and telecommunication technologies. 

 

Dr. Zhang has diverse science and engineering background. He holds a Ph.D. in physics and M.S. in electrical engineering both from the University of Washington, Seattle. He also received his B.S. in Physics from Beijing University, China.  He has developed strong hands-on skills in conducting scientific experiment, modeling, analyzing, and problem solving throughout the graduate school and the following two-year postdoctoral experiences at the Pennsylvania State University.  
 
 

 

BAE SYSTEMS
